About

Ringwood Water Logging project is a site dedicated to the measurement of Ringwood Schools Water Consumption, our aim is to make significant changes with the school to decrease the water used and wasted.

How our data is recorded.

Radcom Technologies measures the flow rate for a second every 15 minutes, this is then turned into an estimate of the usage for that 15 minute period.
The logger is connected to a pipe which feeds the school, from here the data is recorded and weekly data files are sent by the logger and imported into the database and the site then uses this data.

All the Data is held in an MySQL (Structured Query Language) Database and this is read by the scripts and added up into the respective groups and displayed, or run by the Flash to produce the graphs. There are over 2000 lines of code exceeding 20,000 words in just the graphs and data page.
